Dr Zak Baig is currently Chair of RACGP SA&NT. He has been a GP for more than 20 years and has had extensive experience in rural and emergency medicine in Australia and the United Kingdom.
Dr Baig graduated from medical school in Pakistan and has since received additional training in the United Kingdom, Ireland and Australia. He worked in emergency medicine for many years before transitioning to rural general practice, practising on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia for more than a decade.
Dr Baig is the practice principal at ‘Salisbury Family Care’ with special interest in emergency medicine, cardiology and chronic disease management.
He is involved in education for medical students and doctors in training, Dr Baig has a special interest in assisting international medical graduates with their training. He has also been an examiner for the RACGP and the Australian Medical Council for many years.
